NRTC COMMUNICATIONS has partnered with Postini to enhance your email protection and provide you with the latest tools to prevent viruses and junk e-mail from reaching your computer.

Once activated, junk e-mail (SPAM) and virus protection is an automated process. Nobody has access to your e-mail except you. Nobody will read your e-mail. Your e-mail is not censored and YOU control the filter settings (which can be changed by you at any time).

When the service filters your first junk mail, you will receive an activation notification from NRTC Communications. The message will include instructions on accessing and using the service. You will also get additional messages on a daily basis to notify you of any subsequent junk mail that has been filtered.

Here is a brief overview of the Email Protection Service :

  • Your e-mail passes through the automated filters that detect suspected SPAM and viruses.

  • Suspicious e-mail is directed to your personal, web-based, password-protected Message Center (it does not arrive at your computer's 'In Box'). Think of this as a quarantine area. In your Message Center you can read the quarantined e-mail online, delete it, or deliver (forward) it to your 'In Box'.

  • Initially you should visit your Message Center often because the service "remembers and learns" from your interaction. As time goes on you will be able to rely on periodic notifications of your Message Center activity.

  • It allows you to 'block' senders; meaning e-mail from them will always be filtered. Or you can 'approve' senders; meaning their e-mail will always be delivered.

  • This service is completely controlled by you.

When your first e-mail is quarantined by the filters, you will be sent explicit instructions on how to access your Message Center and how to get the most out of your Anti-Virus / Anti-SPAM e-mail protection service .
