About Us |
|
Built in 1903 by Andrew Kirk, this Victorian style farmhouse served as a home for almost 90 years for the Kirk and Patterson families. After sitting empty for nearly 12 more years, Alexander House was purchased in 2001 by Heidi & Dave and restored back to its original stature using original materials wherever possible. This includes all original wood floors, trim and doors as well as its ornate tin ceilings on the first floor. Look closely at the original brick and you will find names written in chalk from the Kirk children who lived here almost 100 years ago! Surrounded by farmland Alexander House provides a warm, quiet and peaceful setting. In June 2004 we opened Alexander House as a Bed & Breakfast to share its country farmhouse warmth and comfort with travelers to the area. We enjoy meeting people from around the globe and providing a comfortable, relaxing setting where our guests can enjoy a hot nutritious breakfasts in our large dining room, huge country kitchen or the cozy sun porch.
We hope to be able share our home with you in the near future.
