| Seniors Helping SeniorsHome Support Services for Seniors .... help for seniors who want to live independently in their own homes.
Contents:A Message from Our President:We at the Eganville & District Seniors are dedicated to helping seniors in our community. Our Home Support Services are intended to provide seniors with the help they need to remain as long as possible in their own homes and communities. The social and recreational activities we offer allow seniors to remain active and involved in the community, which is an important part of reducing isolation and helping seniors remain happy and healthy. We at the Eganville & District Seniors would like to express our most sincere thanks to all of our volunteers who have given so much of their time and expertise to help us meet the needs of seniors in our community and area. Without these volunteers, a number of our community residents would not have the opportunity to participate in our extensive services supplied through our home support services such as information and referral, Diners' Club, Home Maintenance, Telephone Assurance, Transportation and our very effective Meals On Wheels Program and our weekly activities. This all happens only through our volunteers. We also thank the many local individuals, service clubs and businesses that provide financial support for our organization through donations and memorial gifts and by supporting our fundraising events. Without your important contributions, we could not provide the many services and activities that are currently available. Cairine Cybulski, President Our Board of Directors:The Eganville & District Seniors is managed by a Board of Directors made up of 22 active volunteer Board members. These volunteers, the majority of whom are senior citizens, are concerned, caring individuals who want to help the seniors in our community by providing the services and assistance they need to live independently in their own homes. Our History:The Eganville & District Seniors was created in 1987 when a group of concerned senior citizens and area service providers recognized that there was a need for services in the home for seniors living here in the center of Renfrew County. We were incorporated and approved for Charitable Status in 1989 and have continued to grow since that time. Our Mission:The Mission of the Eganville & District Seniors is to provide activities, services and support to seniors, to enable them to remain in their own homes and to maintain a healthy, active lifestyle within their community, thereby enhancing the quality of life of seniors in the municipalities of Bonnechere Valley, North Algona/Wilberforce, the Bromley portion of Admaston/Bromley and the Algonquin's of Pikwakanagan. Membership:Membership in the Eganville & District Seniors is open to individuals who are residing in any of the municipalities mentioned above, who make application and who are sympathetic to the objects of the Association. There is no membership fee at this time, and membership is not a requirement to participate in any of the services or activities offered by the Association. By holding a membership in the Eganville & District Seniors you show your support for the Association and the programs we provide.
