From Comingsoon.net: Comingsoon has posted a link to an interview Maggie Smith had with This is London.
"I look on the part as a sort of pension," she says. "In the one we're filming now (Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban) I'm not very involved. I'm always telling the children to go back to their dormitories. I trail around after Dumbledore and then tell them, 'Go back to your rooms immediately.'" She smiles slightly. "It's not a taxing role to learn, I have to say."
Check out CBBCNewsround for some interesting tidbits about the upcoming movies. Including:
"Hagrid has a new look," he says. "He's got a waistcoat. His clothes are looking more like he made them himself, which indeed I'm sure he did."

It seems that Cho Chang won't make an appearance in PoA of either. This isn't a great surprise, but news that Wood (Sean Biggerstaff) had been cut, well, that cut. Check out what Lizo has to say about the HP world. You can't find a better source for all things Potter.
Cast Members for PoA
David Thewlis has been cast to play Harry's favourite teacher, Remus Lupin. Thwelis is well-known for his parts in Dragonheart and Dinotopia.
Jim Tavare, a comedian, will play Tom, the innkeeper at the Leaky Cauldron.
Michael Gambon is apparently being lined up to play Professor Dumbledore in PoA. We've heard the rumours about Ian McKellen and Christopher Lee being offered the role, but Gambon is the latest name to be linked to the role since the death of Richard Harris last October. According to www.eonline.com, producers contacted Gambon after Ian McKellen ruled himself out of the role.
Pam Ferris has joined the of Harry Potter And The Prisoner Of Azkaban as Aunt Marge, Mr. Dursley's repugnant sister. You may remember her from The Darling Buds of May, or ironically, as Miss Trunchbull in the Hollywood version of Matilda.
Timothy Spall has reportedly been cast in the next Harry Potter film to play Peter Pettigrew, reports aint-it-cool-news.com.
Gary Oldman is supposedly in talks to join PoA cast as Sirius Black. It's been reported that Gary Oldman is in negotiations to join the cast of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. Director Alfonso Cuaron will start production on the film in February. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Oldman may play wizard Sirius Black - the escaped prisoner of Azkaban.
Orange Awards
The shortlist of 10 movies is made up of top box office draws and movie fans will be able to choose their top movie for the award on February 23.
Here is the shortlist for the Orange Awards this year:
Monsters Inc;
Star Wars - Episode II: Attack of the Clones;
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets;
Spider-Man;
Ocean's 11;
Goldmember;
Men in Black II;
Scooby Doo;
Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers;
Die Another Day.
Chamber of Secrets has darker themes - A Time Europe article on Cos : "Like Rowling's books, the movies are becoming darker and more intense as they progress. (After several delays, Rowling, who says there will be seven Potter books in all, will deliver the fifth novel next year.) Running against the Hollywood tradition of sugar-coating every pill, Columbus is eager to let you know that your children may be very afraid."
And this: "In Chamber of Secrets, the romance between Hermione and Ron begins to blossom — but just slightly." hehehe
The same article on PoA: "The change in directors means that there probably won't be a new Potter film next year. Azkaban won't begin shooting until March. This will give Cuarón more pre-production time, and will allow Radcliffe to spend some time in a normal school, rather than with tutors on the set."

Richard Harris Dies
Actor Richard Harris, who played Albus Dumbledore in the HP movies, died on Friday, at age 72. He had been battling Hodgkin's disease, which is a type of lymphatic cancer.
Richard Harris had a reputation for being quite a hellraiser in his life. When director Chris Columbus went to visit him in the hospital, Harris had some words for him:
"He did threaten to kill me if I recast (Professor Dumbledore). I cannot even repeat what he said. He still has got that fight inside of him," Columbus said.
During his film career, Harris earned two Oscar nominations. One was for his supporting role "This Sporting Life" and again, nearly 30 years later, for his comeback role in the 1990 drama "The Field." He made his movie debut in the 1958 film "Alive and Kicking."
