In addition to the books listed under her biographical sketch, Carol Bennett McCuaig has prepared three volumes of genealogical extracts from The Eganville Leader. Details can be seen in the section on books for sale.
She has also published a book on the history of the Edward Bennett family, who came from Drumhecknagh, County Cavan, Ireland, to Canada's Lanark Township in Lanark County in 1822. A section of the book mentions the pioneer generations of other, unrelated, Bennetts of the Ottawa Valley. We have recently learned that other branches of our Drumhecknagh family came to Canada at a later date, including one family who settled in Brookbury, PQ. She is always delighted to hear from Bennett researchers.
Carol answers close to 100 genealogy queries each year, free of charge, when she has research material on hand which has not been used in her books. She is pleased to do this so long as people either supply an e-mail address, or a stamped, self addressed envelope for a reply. If the required information has already been published in one of her books she will let people know so they can purchase the work or obtain it through their library. She makes her living by writing these books so naturally she prefers not to give away that material without recompense.
