Lexie, daughter of Thyme above, is owned and loved by Amanda Lougheed and is litter sister to Steamie who remained here at Owenbriar.  Lexie has completed her Canadian championship with 2 BOB's and Group 4 handled by Amanda!
With health testing now complete Lexie is looking forward to motherhood. Stay tuned for more updates
Rachel is a daughter to Lucy above and is a little different in type to the  Owenbriar dogs before her. We love her high spirits, playful nature and her different style
Bubba finished his championship very quickly under the expert handling of his owner Sheila Taylor of Purrkees Keeshonden. He is son to Gracie above and Sheila tells me he's much like his mom!
Sophie, the last puppy born to Rosie, never entered the show ring, it just wasn't her thing. What IS her thing is being the resident auntie to the puppies born here at Owenbriar. She is a puppy sitter extraordinaire. She is also a photographer's dream. With her stunning headpiece she has been the subject of catalogue cover's, the Owenbriar loge, and for breed specific designs on dog brushes. Sophie is pictured here at 9 years old.
Lucy was bred by Dave & Lucy Hudson, (Ludah). Thank you to them for letting Lucy come live at Owenbriar. She is crazy for food and the red balls that litter our exercise area. In winter she uses the back of a frizbee for a snowboard and careens all over the yard to the endangerment of anyone who gets in her way! Lucy is a daughter to Ruby above.
Gracie came from Maureen Winters of Quest Keeshonden. She finished her US title in just two visits to the US and is also finished in Canada. Brenda Brookes and I really enjoyed having her with us but eventually she returned to her breeder Maureen to finish her breeding career. Gracie is a loving girl who loves nothing better than to cuddle on couch with any human handy. She also can be a troublemaker amongst the other girls.

Jade was bred by Brenda Brookes, Keesbrook. She spent her first two years with us and finished her Canadian title. She went back to Brenda after taking Winners Bitch at the US National  and Brenda finished her US title very soon after.  She presented us with lovely puppies before retiring. Jade LOVES attention and is quite adamant about getting it so she now enjoys only dog status with her new family.
Bogie, Mimi's son, went to live with Laura Lenci in Oregon where he earned his US title. Shortly after he traveled to British Columbia to finish his Canadian title.

Mimi was bred by and imported from Jan Wanamaker of Candray, New Hampshire. Mimi was a fun little girl and a joy to show. She is now retired and lives with her owner in London, ON.
Sage, Maggie's daughter and Thyme's litter sister, lives with Laura Lenci of Oregon who was successful at showing Sage to her Canadian and US titles. Sage is part of Laura's breeding program and also Laura and Sage are working toward Sage's agility title and she is well suited for it since she is a very active girl!
Thyme, Maggie's daughter, has been very successful in the show ring both in Canada and the US. She is as bratty as she is beautiful and a handful to have around. We love her anyway. She is quite lazy at times but loves to harass the other girls.

Silvio, Maggie's son and litter brother to Macy, is owned by Brenda Brookes and was shown to both his titles by her. He finished his US title in one weekend with all majors! He is retired now and lives with Brenda's brother's family.

Macy, Maggie's daughter, was very successful in the show ring and finished both her titles as a young dog. She still lives with us at Owenbriar and is also retired. She is such a lovable girl we could not bear to let her go. Her favorite thing is to lean against someone with her head rested on a shoulder while batting her eyes and insisting upon her share of attention.

Seymour, Maggie's son and Fanny's litter brother, went to live with Rene Sauser and Dennis LeHouillier in California. While with them he had an exciting show career and finished both of his championships very young. Seymour is now retired and lives as a companion dog in California.

Fanny, Maggie's daughter, lives with her sister, Bobbi, and is also retired. Both girls are busy with their pet therapy duties at a hospital near their home. Both are loving family members and in the summer spend much of their free time at the lake.
Ruby, Maggie's daughter and Bobbi's litter sister,  was shown by her owners, Dave and Lucy Hudson, and achieved #1 Top Show Bitch for the Keeshond breed in Canada for 2001. She still lives with them and I understand she still has a lot to say about what goes on there.

Bobbi (known to her family as Bibbi), a Maggie daughter, is retired and lives with her sister Fanny near London. She is a therapy dog and much loved family member. Bobbi's family keeps in touch and tells us stories of her antics.

Maggie, a Rosie daughter, was a lovely girl and a great mom.  During her breeding career she produced 8 Canadian champion offspring, 5 of these also have their US titles! She herself didn't care much for the show scene so finished her Canadian title and then took her rightful spot on the couch. Our sweet little Maggie left us at Christmas time 2008 to join her mom Rosie and brother Joey.  I'm sure she's still stirring up trouble, chasing chipmunks and sitting on all the dogs there as she always did here.

Joey was Rosie's son from her first litter. He was the only male we have ever kept and a great guy. He finished his Canadian and US titles at a young age. We will always remember him most for his apologetic mischievousness and his sweet cuddly personality.

Rosie was our first homebred champion and Katie's daughter. She also was the first dog I traveled to the US to show. She finished in two weekends! She was and is the best dog I have ever known and was quite convinced that she ran the world.  That certainly was true of our world. We miss her terribly and life at Owenbriar will never quite be the same without her.
Katie was our foundation female and produced our first homebred champion. She was a lovely girl who was also smart and finished her CD title in three straight trials. She loved to play with squeaky toys and seemed to play tunes on them.

Tanya was my first Keeshond, purchased from a very good Ontario breeder in 1978. We learned the ropes of the show scene together while working toward her Canadian championship. Tanya was never bred but was the typical Keeshond personality and she was the reason I fell in love with the breed.
