My first Keeshond, purchased in 1978 from a well-known Ontario breeder, was my first show dog and she was the beginning of a lifelong love of this breed. While training her for obedience I became interested in conformation showing and breeding but although she attained her Canadian Championship she was never bred.

In the 80's I married a wonderful man named Bill and after a few years devoted to raising our children I returned to the show ring with another young female (Katie) and Owenbriar was born. Bill came to love Keeshonden as much as I although he does not care for the show scene. That works out well for both of us. He willingly cares for the home crew during times when I am away and we are a great team. We have been actively showing and breeding since 1990 and now have several generations of home bred champions at Owenbriar. My second passion is growing roses and Bill's is his two motorcycles.

We
are committed to the present and future well being of the Keeshond and breed
carefully planned litters and only our best. All of our breeding dogs are
Canadian and or American Champions and have passed the appropriate health
tests before breeding.

Owenbriar puppies are home raised, in a loving environment and are sold only to what we believe are loving homes. Puppies are all wormed, vaccinated, health checked and tattooed or micro chipped before going to their new homes.
