School Code of Behaviour

All students have the right to be physically safe, emotionally secure, and be taught effectively in a positive, focused learning environment.

It is expected that the students will be courteous and respectful to all members of the staff, their fellow students and visitors in the school. With goals such as self-discipline and respect for others in mind, St. Thomas the Apostle School has devised a set of guidelines for good behaviour.

Maintaining appropriate behaviour needs to be a co-operative effort of the child, the teacher, the parents, and the principal. Parent co-operation will increase the effectiveness of this discipline code. We ask that you are supportive of our efforts to provide a safe and pleasant school environment where each child can gain academic knowledge while learning to get along with others and become a responsible person.

We ask that you discuss this code with your child and let him/her know that you are not only aware of the rules and consequences but that you support them.
