Students Rights
and Responsibilities



Every student has the right to :

  • an environment that is conductive to learning and free from physical and verbal harassment
  • take part in all school programs appropriate to age, ability, and behaviour
  • be treated with respect and sensitivity, to be given support and to earn trust and privileges
  • have someone listen to their ideas or concerns
  • know that the school will act to stop or prevent violence or harassment without delay and will ensure that victims, potential victims, witnesses, and perpetrators are helped at the earliest possible stage
  • be provided with an opportunity to develop and practice skills for peaceful and co-operative problem solving.
Every student has the responsibility to :

  • respect the Catholic nature of our school
  • exercise self discipline, be cooperative and attentive in and out of class
  • be on time, come to school prepared, give one's best effort
  • deliver school reports and publications to parents promptly
  • be courteous to fellow pupils, and obedient and courteous to all staff
  • show respect and care for the personal property of classmates and staff, and the public property of playground, school building, equipment, and the bus.
